Ivypaw sat outside of the Medicine Cat's Den, which was overlooking that beautiful ocean. Tears sprang to her gray eyes as she stared to think back to that horrible day... No. Don't think about that! She cursed herself, feeling her fur bristle angrily as she thought about her father.
She turned her head, glaring back toward the camp where her father was most likely sleeping. She felt a sharp pang of lonilessness that made her gasp in pain.

RippleFur trotted toward the entrance to the camp, carefree and lighthearted. He was preparing for a hunt, but then he spied a younger cat sitting at the edge of the medicine den, looking crestfallen.
"Hello? IvyPaw?" he padded over to her quietly "Are you alright?" He nudged her gently with his nose, trying to comfort her.

Ivypaw let out a surprise meow, turning toward him when he nudged her with his nose. Her ears flattened against her head, shrugging slightly with a small sigh. "Yes, I'm fine." She said softly, feeling the edges of her ears redden. She turned toward her Den, and couldn't help noticing how empty it was, making her ears flatten against her head.

RippleFur laughed gently. "Alright, if you're sure," he said affectionately. He thought of her as a little sister, and so only wanted the best for her. He followed her gaze to the empty corners of the medicine den. "If you wanted, I could help you gather supplies."

Ivypaw glanced at Ripplefur in surprise, before letting out an amused purr. She was almost surprised, feeling her pelt heaten. She sounded like an adult... well of course, she was almost a full-time Medicine Cat. The thought made her heart swell and she straightened slightly.
"Are you sure? I've heard that it is a very tedious job." She joked happily. "But if your willing to help, follow me." She leaped off the rock she was sitting on, padding across the soft sand cofidently, like she had been this way many times.
She led Ripplefur toward a large piece of coral that was fully submerged in the water just in the water. "Are you up for a little swimming?" She asked with a smile.

He chuckled. "I'm always up for swimming!" he exclaimed with a wink. He leaped into the water and shook his fur so that it became soaked. He enjoyed the cooling sensation crawling up his sleek spine and the water impregnated itself into his rippled fur. He waded in toward the coral, strutting, and grabbed in in his teeth. Pulling hard, he managed to loosen it, but it was heavier than he anticipated. Sputtering, he came up to breathe. "One more good pull and I should have it!" he assured her. This time, he braced his paws against the soft sand before trying again. He fastened his jaws around the coral again, and this time managed to pull it free.
"Nee anyfing elphh?

Ivypaw glanced at Ripplefur, a small purr coming from her throat. "That's not what I needed silly. The thing I needed was INSIDE the reef." She shook her head in amusement before plunging into the cold water, kicking her legs as she dove into the deep water, her dark gray fur striking out of blue water. She slid into the inside of the coral, paddling back out with sea-weed close in her jaws. "But I did needth the coralth as wellth. C'month followth me." She meowed, turning and trotting off, her fur glistening with tiny water droplets. She sniffed the air before scratching at the sand, pulling out a perfect sand dollar.

"Oh," he murmured, embarrassed. Pink rose in his face. He bounded out of the water after her, surprised at how fast the young cat could move. Once he hit dry sand, he shook out the water from his coat and became momentarily disoriented. The coral hindered his movement, and eyesight, but he managed to follow her just the same.

Ivypaw dropped her sea-weed on the rock next to her, gesturing with her tail for Ripplefur to do the same. "I need to find a few of these," She pushed the sand-dollar toward him. "Doesn't matter if its broken or not." She turned and swiped the sand aside, looking hard.

RippleFur bent over it, and examined it closely. He inhaled deeply to memorize its scent, and then swept his maw over the sand to try and find some more.
Eventually, he came to a spot that smelled just about right, and began digging. While he wasn't paying attention, though, a large crab sidled up to him and pinched one of his toes. Yelping, he shook it off. "Ow, that really hurt!" he shouted. He hissed at it and darted at it, biting through its shell and killing it. "That's what you get," he said gruffly, turning back to his hole.
He eventually uncovered two sand dollars.

Ivypaw had gather 2 Sand-Dollars as well and had gently laid them between her shoulder blades. "This is fine." She let out a purr of amusement as he yelped. "Are you bleeding?" She asked gently, picking up her sea-weed and glancing at him inquiringly.

"Hah, no I'll be fine," he said sheepishly. He picked up his sand dollars in his mouth and dropped them at her feet.
"Anything else on your list of medicines?" He sat down and tilted his head to the side like a curious puppy.

A smile jumped on her maw and she shook her head, amusement in her silver eyes. "That's all I need for today." Ivypaw purred before glancing up at the sun, as if studying it. "Plus the sun may be setting soon, so its best we can get back. I'll watch out for any crabs for you." She teased lightly.

"Alright!" he said obediently. "I'll help you carry everything back." he picked up his chunk of coral and two sand dollars in his mouth and clamored clumsily back to the medicine den. He set them down gently.

Ivypaw smiled before gracefully sliding down deeper into her den, where a small water pool was sitting. She crushed one sand-dollar and sprinkled it into the sea-water before padding backwards without looking. She hit something hard and she glanced back curiously.
